CUHK Medicine Professor Nathalie Wong’s team has discovered a first of its kind liver cancer biomarkers that reside on the cell surface membrane, enabling these cancer cells to be identified through the "name tag". The team plans to translate this breakthrough into clinical trials, using CAR-T cell therapy to achieve optimal therapeutic outcomes.
